With more than 1,000,000 students opting to further their education and life experience at a United States college or university, the USA is home to the largest international student population in the world. International students now make up over 5% of all students in higher education in the United States, and their numbers are rising. International education in the United States has advanced significantly since the mid-1950s, when the number of international students enrolled was just at 35,000.
